Welcome to Cottage by the Tarn — a quiet, considered space inspired by slow living, nature, and the beauty of everyday things. I started Cottage by the Tarn from a love of creating with my hands. From hand-poured candles and small-batch soaps to dried floral pieces, everything I make is crafted thoughtfully, using natural materials and a soft, timeless palette to bring a sense of calm into the home.

 Living close to nature shapes so much of what I do. The changing seasons, wild textures, and muted tones all find their way into my work. I’m drawn to pieces that feel gentle, grounding, and made to last, things that don’t need to shout to be noticed.

Alongside my own creations, I also carefully curate vintage, cottage-style pieces that hold their own quiet charm. Each one is chosen for its character, history, and ability to add warmth and soul to a space — the kind of items that feel like they’ve always belonged. Cottage by the Tarn is, at its heart, about slowing down, creating with intention, and surrounding ourselves with things that feel meaningful.
